Every church sends the same handful of announcements: the upcoming event, the volunteer ask, the schedule change, the welcome to new visitors. Instead of writing each one from a blank page, start from a template and adapt it in a few minutes.
Below are ten church announcement email templates, each with a subject line. Replace the bracketed placeholders, trim what you don’t need, and send. If you want to understand the principles behind them, read how to write a church announcement email — but you don’t need theory to use these today.

How to Get the Most From These Templates
One announcement per email whenever possible. The weekly roundup (template 6) is the exception — everything else works best solo. When you ask people to do five things, most do zero.
Rewrite the subject line for your voice. Subject lines drive open rates more than anything else in the email. We keep a list of 50 church email subject lines when you need fresh options, and these 7 tips cover timing and formatting.
The template is the start, not the system. The real work is sending the announcement again — most events need 3–4 sends before they register, and nobody wants to receive the same email three times. That’s the problem HeyChurch automates: enter the announcement once, and it sends on schedule with fresh wording each time. (Here’s how the AI rewriting works.)
Grab a template, adapt it, and send it this week — done beats perfect.
